"It's always nice when a Friend stops by!"
I grew up in Calgary, but moved to Didsbury around the age of 12. Ever since I have stuck around this small town, as it seems small town living is where I feel at home. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, and spending time with my horses and a variety of household pets.
I have always loved caregiving and companion roles. Taking care of animals and kids had always held a special place in my heart. Then, when a family friend with dementia began declining in health, I spent many days with her when her family couldn't be there. I found that seniors light up my life in that same way. Although I went on to work at a seniors lodge, I found myself wanting more one on one quality time with the residents that my job didn't leave enough time for. Now, I have found that, with A Friend Indeed.
