I moved to Alberta from Nova Scotia 17 years ago. I lived in northern Alberta for several years before settling in Carstairs with my family just over 8 years ago. 
 I come from a healthcare background, mainly in support services and frontline patient care. My experience and career spanned over the better part of 16 years when I decided that it no longer aligned with my and my families wants and needs. 
 In joining A Friend indeed I get to keep doing the part of my job that I loved so much, interacting with and getting to know the people. There was nothing more rewarding than having a visit with some of the most experienced and knowledgeable individuals of our communities. 
In my spare time you’ll find me at home with my family baking, cooking, teaching my children the art of food preservation and home gardening, as well as quilting and crafting.
