Mobile Foot Care for Seniors: One Less Worry for Family Caregivers

If you’re supporting an aging parent or loved one, foot care can quietly become a stress point. Thick or hard-to-reach nails, corns and calluses, reduced flexibility, poor eyesight, and circulation concerns can make basic nail care difficult — and sometimes unsafe. For seniors living with diabetes or reduced sensation in their feet, even a small cut can become a bigger issue.
As we move out of winter and into spring, many seniors start walking more again — and that’s often when lingering dryness, pressure points, and overgrown nails become more noticeable (and more uncomfortable).
At Soleful Harmony, I provide professional mobile foot care in the comfort of your loved one’s home across Calgary and surrounding communities. I’m Jamilla, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and my focus is safe, thorough care for seniors and higher-risk clients — including those with diabetes, mobility challenges, and circulation concerns.
Appointments are typically about an hour and include lower limb assessments, nail trimming and filing, reduction of thickened nails, and care for corns/calluses when appropriate. I also share practical education on daily foot checks, skin care, and footwear to help prevent problems between visits.
For caregivers, in-home foot care means less coordinating, less transportation stress, and more peace of mind knowing your loved one’s feet are being cared for professionally and gently.
